7 Pumps, Valves & Liquid Handling New Micro Gas Sampling Pump Introduced
With its NMP series, KNF provides micro gas sampling pumps which have proven their worth over decades of use in a multitude of applications. The new NMP 830 HP offers a high-performance pump with extremely impressive specifications.
The new NMP 830 HP is an extension of the NMP series. This latest innovation offers a much higher flow rate, vacuum and pressure, while keeping the footprint small. The maximum flow rate is now 10 l/min, the vacuum is 50 mbar abs and the pressure is 3 bar. This gives engineers and developers a decisive advantage when designing equipment for particularly challenging applications. The NMP 830 HP is suitable for many applications such as medical and diagnostics equipment, ink jet printing, environmental monitoring and security application among other uses.
The diaphragm pump is available with 1 or 2 heads. The components that comes into contact with the medium are available in PPS and EPDM, optionally also in FKM or FFKM.
The pump can be used with a range of different motors from the KNF modular system, from inexpensive to high-end models, depending on the operating conditions.

Cell Culture made Easy with New 24-channel Pipetting Heads
Integra has responded to customers’ requests and developed two new 24-channel pipetting heads, extending the capabilities of its popular VIAFLO 96/384. Designed to make cell biology workflows more efficient and reliable, these handheld electronic pipettes allow plate filling, reagent addition or sample transfers to be performed in a single step, enabling quicker and more accurate pipetting.
Two versions of the 24-channel heads are available to accommodate the need for different volumes – a 10 to 300 µl option for cell or reagent addition, and a larger 50 to 1,250 µl version for media and buffer transfers – allowing the user to fill a 24-well plate in seconds. Both options use Integra’s proprietary GripTip system, which ensures perfect alignment and eliminates the risk of pipette tips leaking or falling off.
As with existing 96- and 384-channel options, all of Integra’s pipetting heads are easily interchangeable, allowing the user to seamlessly switch between 24-, 96-, 384- and 1,536-well plate formats in less than a minute to streamline workflows. The easy-to-use system also minimises the risk of human error, making lab results more accurate and reproducible.

ilmt.co/PL/0v9y 48192pr@reply-direct.com ADVERTORIAL A Small Cleanroom inside your Lab
Pipetting liquids without introducing foreign particles or microorganisms is a core task at many laboratories, for example when preparing samples, packaging media and buffers, or performing microbiological analyses using non-pathogenic microorganisms. The new pipetting robot ‘Liquid Handling Station fl ow’ from BRAND allows you to set up a small cleanroom right inside your lab.
The newly developed Flowbox of the Liquid Handling Station fl ow provides cleanroom conditions at your workbench. The HEPA fi lter (HEPA 14 according to DIN EN 1822) cleans the intake air, then directs it horizontally in a laminar fl ow across the workplaces inside the Liquid Handling Station. With the door closed, the air inside the cabinet is replaced approx. 260 times per hour (at a volume fl ow rate of 22 m3/h), and exits through special openings in the front door. The system meets cleanroom requirements of ISO 14 644-1 (Class 5) and GMP Annex 1 (Class A) in the work area and thus protects the samples from airborne contamination.
In addition, the software performs a three- minute air fl ushing routine before starting the pipetting process, leaving no measurable particles (particle sizes 0.5 µm, 0.7 µm, 1.0 µm, 3 µm, and 5 µm) inside the cabinet. During the pipetting procedure, the airfl ow is controlled automatically and increases to 29 m3/h when the front door is opened, preventing unfi ltered air from entering the workplace of the Liquid Handling Station.
It goes without saying that the Liquid Station fl ow offers the same benefi ts as the popular Liquid Handling Station. Both versions of the BRAND pipetting robot save space in the lab and are very easy to operate. With just a few mouse clicks you set up your own, customised method.
BRAND also offers a free Method Check for the Liquid Station fl ow. As part of this Method Check, BRAND will provide the new Liquid Handling Station fl ow pipetting system to you for a two-week on-site validation period free of charge.

Liquid Handling Station
Get your own benchtop cleanroom for your samples! The new pipetting robot Liquid Handling Station flow from BRAND features a laminar flow of filtered air accross the worksplaces in- side the cabinet. This means effective protection of your valuable samples against airborne contamination.
Use it for PCR, qPCR, sample prepa- ration, packaging media and buffers, microbiological analyses, etc.
