Cloud Buildings have moved into volume production of the world’s first solar powered Carbon Dioxide (CO2) sensor, enabling economical CO2 air quality monitoring for the Building Control industry. With no associated wiring costs, these sensors present more affordable installation when compared to existing technology.
The combination of Cloud Buildings power management electronics and GSS (UK) COZIRTM CO2 sensor removes the need for batteries, enabling economic deployment. COZIRTM sensors combine high performance and ultra low power consumption, providing compatibility with wireless battery and energy harvesting solutions.
The innovative device is automatically self-calibrating and can operate without batteries for up to 16 hours in total darkness, providing a zero maintenance sensing building solution. An optional battery backup is available which ensures the sensor continues to operate in zero LUX environments continuously for approximately 10 years.
The sample rate is automatically varied (between 9 and 2 sample per hour) according to the available LUX levels or is fixed at 6, 4 or 2 times per hour.
