Cutting-edge GC technology provides an ideal solution for the monitoring of hydrogen and fuel cells as well as a host of environmental analysis applications
I-Graph Gmbh brings the latest in micro-GC technology to the market. The I-GraphX monitors fuel cells to ensure their safety, but it also measures the purity of hydrogen as well.
Environmental analysis in general needs to be performed as rapidly and precisely as possible. I-Graph has devised a series of micro process gas chromatography analysers that cut time and bring laboratory accuracy out in the fi eld. The days of manually bringing a sample to the lab for analysis are all over, thanks to these cutting-edge, powerful GCs, which bring together lab precision in exceedingly short analysis times, minimal maintenance and low cost of ownership.
With many years of experience behind them, I-Graph have developed their Industrial Graph Xolutions range; a modular applicable solution concept. This modular system offers countless possibilities to meet everyone’s individual needs for a range of applications including landfi ll gas, VOCs and BTEX, aromatics, greenhouse gases, natural gas, hydrocarbons, hydrogen production and waste gas. For each application the end-user is equipped with an excess of capabilities and can therefore perform the analysis in the knowledge that the analyser will provide the level of precision needed faster than conventional techniques would allow.
Whatever your application, there is an I-Graph model providing the perfect solution. Every model is light and compact, cheap to operate and maintain, quick and easy to commission and operate and extremely accurate. I-Graph have harnessed the power of microsystems technology: the vital components of these micro GCs: the injector, separation column and detector are made out of silicon Pyrex chips. These Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) enables the instruments to precisely analyse very small samples, very quickly. The beating heart of these instruments is the only fully functional GC module on the market, made from MEMS analysis chips. Four separate separation columns can be confi gured and, in the case of many applications, results can be generated every 30 seconds. These devices are perfect for inline analysis for process monitoring and control thanks to their robust and compact design and extremely low power and media consumption.

Two new reference standards kits from Restek will help labs streamline operations by containing the most frequently analysed semi-volatiles. The SVOC MegaMix 150 kit (cat.# 31907) contains 150 semi-volatiles (including the Appendix IX analytes), while the SVOC MegaMix 100 kit (cat.# 31908) contains 100 common semi-volatile compounds. Both kits are designed to make constructing a 200 μg/mL working standard easy, allowing for wider calibration ranges and reducing the need for sample dilution. These standards are also formulated for the best balance of stability and convenience, ensuring that calibration curves will be accurate and can be prepared effi ciently.
Two independently manufactured lots with the verifi ed lot-to-lot agreement are available, reducing uncertainty and improving data quality. All kit solutions, which may also be purchased individually, are certifi ed reference materials (CRMs) manufactured and QC-tested in Restek’s ISO-accredited labs, satisfying your ISO and quality program requirements. Deactivated glass vials are included with every standard—letting you store unused portions for later use while minimizing compound degradation.

User-friendly and compact, Spectrum Two is perfect for identifying unknown substances, material qualifi cation, or concentration determination. The instrument’s low-maintenance design offers unprecedented levels of operational simplicity and can be used by “anyone, anywhere, anytime” - bringing precise and dependable high-speed FT-IR analysis to even the most inexperienced operators, even away from the lab.
Dedicated systems using Spectrum Touch™ next-generation user interface have been developed to cater to the requirements of application-specifi c quality control analysis. With its easy-to-use touchscreen technology, Spectrum Touch enables results to be generated quicker than ever before by even completely inexperienced users, simplifying analytical operations signifi cantly.
Spectrum two’s highly progressive software and patented features guarantee both consistency and repeatability, while its unique humidity shield protects the instrument from environmental effects that may fetter the effi ciency of the instrument.
The Spectrum Two analysers were designed with PerkinElmer’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in mind, so a reduction of the overall carbon footprint of manufacture, packaging and transportation has been achieved. These were PerkinElmer’s fi rst instruments in which reducing environmental impact was integral to its design; hence, these are the smallest and lightest PerkinElmer infrared instruments ever made. They also selected the manufacturing materials from recyclable sources, a design philosophy that will assist customers in lowering their own carbon footprint and operational costs by minimising the analyser’s power consumption.

New water analysis systems for environmental, agricultural and industrial testing
Thermo Fisher Scientifi c Inc. has launched two new wet chemistry analysers that deliver fully automated testing for environmental, agricultural, and industrial testing labs.
Powerful, infrared spectrometer provides precise materials identifi cation and sample quantifi cation for environmental labs
Through custom-designed software, the new Thermo Scientifi c Gallery Aqua Master and Thermo Scientifi c Gallery Plus Aqua Master analysers offer extensive workfl ow automation for high-throughput, simultaneous multiparameter wet chemistry testing following EPA-approved methods and international standards. The easy-to-use analysers are suitable for users with different expertise levels, and a single technician can operate them with only a few hours of training. Labs can therefore increase effi ciency and better protect their operations from staff shortages.
“Nutrient and water testing is critical for environmental and public health protection, agricultural assessment, and industrial water analyses. However, multiparameter wet chemistry analysis is often labour-intensive and time- consuming,” said Dino Alfano, vice president and general manager, ion chromatography and sample preparation, Thermo Fisher. “The new Gallery Aqua Master analysers address these challenges by enabling laboratories to fully automate their workfl ows while more easily meeting regulations. Scientists can therefore focus better on what matters most—creating a healthier, cleaner and safer world.”
Gallery Aqua Master analysers enable regulatory compliance by providing streamlined, fl exible workfl ow automation, confi dence in results, minimised manual errors, traceable results, cost-effi ciency and improved sustainability. Operators have an analyser that offers them three hours of walk-away time in a single sample and reagent load. The ready-to-use Thermo Scientifi c Gallery System Reagents for environmental and industrial analysis simplify the analytical process considerably and there is minimal maintenance and reduced sample and reagent use, lowering cost per test by up to 20 times, relative to traditional instruments. It is simple and cost- effective to transfer existing spectrophotometric.
