NDIR sensors with advanced features for industrial applications

N.E.T.’s IRNET-P 32mm NDIR sensors offer advanced features for industrial applications. These sensors are SIL2 rated for certifi ed dependability, providing fail-safe detection for critical and life-saving applications.

With individual calibration and testing, the IRNET-P 32mm NDIR sensors deliver reliable measurements that can be trusted. These sensors feature an extended temperature range of -40 to +60 °C, making them ideal for use in any environment. The internal microprocessor enables advanced signal processing, while the standard industrial size allows for easy integration into existing detectors.

The IRNET-P 32mm NDIR sensors boast a fast T90 response time and offer ModBus or P2P digital communication for ease of integration. They are built to last with solid, rugged construction and a stainless steel enclosure. The patented longer optical path provides better resolution and stability, resulting in overall stronger specifi cations when compared to smaller 20mm versions.

As N.E.T.’s best-selling IR sensor, the IRNET-P 32mm NDIR sensor is ideal for integration in a fi xed gas detector for CO2 or for hydrocarbon gases such as propane and methane in LEL range. Its superior performance, reliability, and versatility make it the best solution available for industrial applications.

All N.E.T. IR sensors run on a microprocessor- based platform for internal signal processing, providing a linearized and temperature- compensated output in digital and analogue formats. This makes them the ideal solution for instrument manufacturers, even without any specialist knowledge of IR technology.

Precise measurement of oxygen concentration in gas mixtures

LogiDataTech‘s MF420-O-Zr oxygen sensor is a cutting- edge solution for measuring oxygen concentration in gas mixtures. The sensor is based on a dynamic

process in two zirconium dioxide slices that form a sealed chamber, offering linear measurement over the entire range.

This oxygen sensor has a built-in diagnostic function that monitors its performance during operation and indicates any hardware or sensor element malfunctions. It eliminates the need for a second oxygen sensor.

The MF420-O-Zr can be calibrated without reference gas in atmospheric air, and outputs measurement values through both an analogue channel (4 - 20 mA or 0 - 10 V) and a digital channel, which also transmits error messages.

The MF420-O-Zr is available for a measuring range of 0.1 to 25 Vol.-% oxygen, with an analogue interface of 4-20 mA or 0-10 V and an independent digital output. Its diagnostic function ensures a fail-safe operation.

The MF420-O-Zr oxygen sensor has been certifi ed to comply with DIN EN 50270:2015 type1 and type2 and the EMC-directives 2014/30/EU. The device is delivered pre- calibrated, with maintenance intervals meeting safety requirements, but with a recommended six-month monitoring and fi ve-year replacement cycle. The device supports both electrical and manual calibration.

15 Innovative electrochemical gas sensor for low concentrations of silane

Sensorix’s SiH4 2 is an advanced electrochemical gas sensor designed for the detection of silane. The SiH4 2 sensor is highly selective and boasts a class-leading stability, making it ideal for use in semiconductor manufacturing environments where the safe handling of silane is of paramount importance.

The SiH4 2 sensor is a 3-electrode sensor with a measurement range of 0-2 ppm and a sensitivity of 800 ± 400 nA/ppm. It has a fast response time of ≤ 60 s at 2 min gas exposure and a very stable baseline of < ± 25 nA in clean air. The sensor also has a baseline of < ± 0.03 ppm* in clean air and a linearity of < 10% of full scale. The repeatability of the SiH4 2 sensor is < 2%, making it highly reliable.

The SiH4 2 sensor is recommended for use in a temperature range of -20°C to +40°C* and a humidity range of 15% to 90% r.h. non- condensing. The pressure range for the sensor is 800 – 1200 hPa. The recommended load resistor for the sensor is 1500 Ohm, and the bias voltage is 0 V. The sensor should be oriented with the front pointing downwards or sidewards.

Sensorix GmbH has ensured that the SiH4 2 sensor is highly durable, with a long-term output drift of < 10% per 6 months and an expected operating life of over 18 months in air. The recommended storage conditions for the SiH4 2 sensor are 5 – 20°C in a sealed container, and the sensor comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of dispatch.

The SiH4 2 sensor is available in several formats, including the 4S, 7S, Mini, Classic 4 pin, Classic 8 pin compatible, and Smart 8p with EPROM. Other customer-specifi c formats are available upon request. It is important to note that the connection should be made via PCB sockets only, and soldering to pins will render the warranty void.

In addition to its advanced features, the SiH4 2 sensor has been designed with safety in mind. Sensorix GmbH recommends that the function of the sensor is confi rmed by exposure to target gas (bump check) before each use of the sensor and/or instrument in which it is used. Failure to carry out such tests may jeopardise the safety of people and property.
