Gas Detection 65 New Portable Detector for Flammable Gases
The µGAZEX™ detector developed by GAZOMAT™ S.A.R.L., provides users with personal protection in potentially explosive atmospheres. ATEX group 1 and group 2 approved, this multifunction explosimeter complies with all European safety standards. The µGAZEX™ device is available in four versions for use across a wide range of applications:
• Explosimeter – 1 measurement scale : 0-100% LEL • Explosimeter-catharometer – 2 measurement scales : 0-100% LEL and 0-100% Vol. Gas
• Explosimeter – 3 measurement scales – 0-10.000 ppm – 0-100% LEL and 0-100% Vol. Gas • Methane level meter – 1 measurement scale – 0-4.4% CH4 - for use in mines
• Very easy to use, with its single control key, the operator needs only to turn the unit on and off. He can also display the maximum values by simply pressing the control key. With the explosimeter-catharometer version, the switching between the scales is automatic.
• The detector features a powerful triple alert system: audible, visual and vibration alarms. • Sensor is fast-responding and highly stable on extended exposure to gas.
• Ultra-light and compact in design, the detector will conveniently accompany operators in their everyday work and provide a maximum level of safety.
• The Li-Ion battery provides up to 16 hours of continuous operation and greatly contributes to the extra-light weight of the device. • The double-protection elastometer housing with IP 67 protection provides resistance to dust and brief immersion in water, as well as greater durability for use in extremely harsh environments.
• The µGAZEX™ device comes standard with a multi-support fastening clip, a power unit and a charger. Very convenient, the latter can also be used to test the detector via a USB cable connected to a PC.
• Optional accessories include a test kit, sampling system and a multi-point charger assembly designed for up to 10 units. The latter option will be of special interest to companies operating a large number of detectors.
• Last but not least, the µGAZEX™ detector is maintainable.
