InGuard In-Line Sample Pretreatment Cartridges

Dionex IC Cube Provides Dual Channel Analysis Capabilities

The innovative IC Cube module integrates all capillary consumables (including pre- cut, pre-formed tubing) into a single module, and thus takes ease of use to a whole new level. Each Dionex ICS-5000 RFIC system can hold two IC Cubes, making dual channel analysis in capillary mode simple to set-up and perform. Each of the column compartments in the IC Cube can be set to different temperatures, allowing the instrument to perform anion analysis at 30°C and cation analysis in the second channel at 60°C. The IC Cube components include a suppressor, 4-port, 2 position 0.4

µL internal loop valve, Carbonate Removal Device (CRD 200), guard and separation column compartment (temperature controlled), and an Eluent Degasser (EG Degas).

The InGuard™ line of multiuse in-line sample preparation cartridges for IC are packed with a range of resins that can automatically remove matrix interferences such as anions, cations including transition metals, and hydrophobic contaminants including lipids. Pretreatment helps extend column life and improves separations. Reproducible ppm-level determina- tions are possible even in samples with concentrated matrices. Cartridges can be used multiple times, singly or in series, and in some cases can be regenerated (depending on the samples being treated).

Water Analysis that’s easy, robust, and cost effi cient.

Dionex, the leader in organic and inorganic contaminant analysis, offers the best selec- tion of IC and HPLC systems. Unique Dionex IC technologies allow you to Just add Water to reduce labor and save money. And Dionex unrivaled selection of columns for matrix elimination, sample preparation, and analyti- cal separations allow complex applications with confi dent and compliant results.

Dionex makes water analysis easy, robust, and cost effi cient.

The Dionex ICS-5000 Reagent-Free™ Ion Chromatography (RFIC™), winner of the Bronze Star in the prestigious GIT Innovations Award 2010, is the world’s first capillary IC system. The new system combines all the features of other Dionex high-end products with capillary IC into one dual system. Using IC x IC technology in capillary and analytical modes, chemists can now achieve ultralow detection limits without the cost and operational challenges of a mass spectrometer.

Additionally, by using higher linear flow rates and pressure-optimised consumables, the ICS- 5000 RFIC system has been optimised for Fast IC, which shortens run times to as low as 3–5 minutes, increasing laboratory throughput by up to four times. As capillary IC requires only 400 nL samples, the ICS-5000 system is an ideal platform for expanding into biological applications, such as metabolomics.

The innovative IC Cube™ module houses all of the capillary consumables in one convenient package, simplifying handling and ensuring minimum dead volumes. The chemically inert flow path withstands pH extremes and protects sensitive samples from metal contamination. With eluent generation and capillary column chemistries, the ICS-5000 provides 3 months of uninterrupted (Always Ready) operation with just 2 L of deionised water, increasing convenience and reducing waste by a hundredfold.
