AMETEK STC is pleased to present the new JOFRA CTC-1205 compact temperature calibrator. This temperature calibrator offers improved calibration times over the company’s previous CTC-1200 calibrator, and is ideal for waste incineration, power plants, oil and gas production as well as for the metal industry.


With the CTC-1205 AMETEK STC have raised the bar on its CTC series of compact temperature calibrators. This new temperature calibrator offers a temperature range of 100 to 1205°C (212 to 2201°F), Accuracy of ± 0.2°C(± 0.36°F)and Stability to ± 0.1°C (± 0.18°F) for the total temperature range. It offers a silent mode operation which provides an improved working climate in laboratory areas, and with a fast cooling time of down to only 45 minutes, the CTC-1205 saves working hours and improves workflow. MVI circuitry ensures stability despite mains supply variations.


The CTC-1205 features an intuitive easy-to-use interface, and popular functions like automatic switch test and auto stepping are available with special one-key-one-function buttons. The unique STS reference sensors for the CTC-1205 are “Plug and Play” and ensure full documentation. CTC-1205 ordered with the reference sensors will include a full system calibration certificate as a standard.


The CTC-1205 is the top model of the company’s CTC Series product line of compact temperature calibratorswhich also includes the CTC-155 with a temperature range of -25 to 155°C (-13 to 311°F); CTC- 350 with a temperature range of 28 to 350°C (82 to 662°F); and the CTC-660 covering 28 to 660°C (82 to 1220°F). The CTC Series calibrators are available in different models; with reference sensor, without reference sensor but ready for external, or without external input. All CTC models come with the proprietary JofraCal calibration softwareas a standard.


The CTC Series calibrators are rugged, light weight temperature calibrators designed for on-location usage as well as for laboratory use. The optional carrying case provides improved portability and safety when moving the calibrator from one destination to another. HCl continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS) applications have been around for several years – starting primarily in the waste or trash incineration processes. The chlorines in the plastics that are burned in trash incinerators will combine with the moisture in the trash to form HCl during the combustion process.


Also Ammonia (NH3 ) emissions are an important contributor to fine particulate matter (PM) formation. Consequently, increased attention is being paid to accurate quantification and characterisation of NH3 emissions.

Easy and reliable salt in crude analysis comparable to ASTM D3230


Salt in crude measurements are made to define the level of chloride based salts found in samples in weight per volume. In some parts of the world, salt levels in crude oil are far higher than in others. This crude will still need transportation and refining but high levels of salt will cause problems if left untreated. De-salting technology has been readily available for many years, but to be effective there is a need for quick and reliable measurements of salt concentration. The fast response of an on-line analyser enables the operator to use De-salters as efficiently as possible.


Bartec ORB’s fully automatic, Model P-600 Salt in Crude Analyser is a highly reliable solution to this predicament. This ATEX Zone 1 rated analyser conforms to the ASTM D3230 standard electrometric method for salts in crude oil. This is achieved with the use of a digitally controlled syringe sample handling system, micro-volume solenoid valves and a measurement chamber with a high-resolution conductivity probe, stirrer and precise, bi-directional cell temperature control.


With its analysis cycle of 6 minutes, operators are assured of relevant, reliable and recent measurements. The P-600 performs at variable measurement ranges of up to 400 PTB (0-1,000 mg/L) with a repeatability of 2% of scale. With its cooled InSb camera, accurate temperature measurements can be carried out on fast moving objects without motion blur and a variety of non-destructive tests can also be performed. The FLIR A6750sc operates in the 3.0 - 5.0 µm wavelength range, or 1.0 - 5.0 µm when the broadband option is chosen, enabling precision measurements down into the SWIR range.


Thanks to the high resolution and thermal sensitivity of its sensor, the camera produces razor-sharp, detailed thermal images that are ideal for electronics inspections or material tests.


Offering short integration times (< 1ms) and fast frame rates (to 125 Hz), the A6750sc is able to routinely image dynamic thermal processes on surfaces at room temperature. The maximum frame rate in the smallest frame mode is 4.1 kHz.

The Solinst Model 408 double valve pumps are positive displacement, gas drive pumps providing high quality, consistent groundwater samples, and excellent VOC sample results. These pumps come in stainless steel, 5/8” or 1.66” diameters. Portable or dedicated versions are available.
