Personalised service, positive outcomes
WE would like to thank everyone who responded to our consultation on how we let our homes. Many of you gave us helpful

make the way we let our homes fair and clear while ensuring people in greatest need are given priority for a home. We also want people to get honest, personalised advice about their chances of getting a home and, where they don’t have priority for social housing, help to signpost to other housing options suitable to their needs and circumstances. The draft policy was drawn up based on what tenants and those applying for a home have already told us. We also took
into account wider changes such as welfare reform and a number of legal changes which are due to come into force soon. Once the policy is finalised, it will help shape our new housing advice and letting service called My Housing which we hope to launch next year.
Our My Housing service will include a new online portal where people will be able to get advice about their housing, apply for a home, and then look for available homes and note an interest in any which suit their priority banding. Thanks again to GHA tenants who got in touch to give us their views. We will keep you updated as our plans for My Housing progress.
