Drumchapel, won the iPad competition in the last issue of the Key. Samantha said: “The most important thing to consider when allocating a GHA home is that everyone is treated fairly but that the house is given to individuals who are priority due to health or social issues.” We had lots of interesting
responses. Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter.

Dear the Key My wife and I are pensioners with disability problems. We moved to our current address for health reasons. Our last home had a walk-in shower with a seat and a handrail. Social work have agreed for our new home to have similar adaptations but they haven’t been done yet. I’m recovering from surgery and helping my wife in and out of the bath is becoming dangerous. Can you help?
Mr McAlpine, Cardonald Thanks for your letter Mr McAlpine. We’ve been in touch with our contractors who have carried out the adaptations. Hope things are better for you at home now.
Dear the Key My heartfelt thanks for your help in getting my grass and hedge cut. The boys were helpful and friendly and did a lovely job. Definitely a workforce to be proud of. I just don’t know what I’d have done without your help. Andy Stadalius, Barfillan Drive Always happy to help, Andy.

Dear the Key My elderly parents live in Dumfries and have applied for housing in Glasgow. They aren’t very computer-savvy and I’ve been bidding on their behalf. I’ve been bidding for homes in Group 7, but they don’t only want to be considered for sheltered housing. They don’t use a wheelchair but do have a mobility scooter. It’s all very frustrating. Veronica Connelly, Frankfield Street
Thanks for getting in touch, Veronica. Staff at our Cranhill office are dealing with your parents’ application. One of our staff there have been

in touch and will help you bid on the correct type of home to help find something suitable. Hope this helps.
Dear the Key The lid on my green bin is broken and the squirrels and birds are pulling out the rubbish and making a mess. Is it possible to replace my bin please? I’m sick of picking up rubbish after these rodents. Thank you.
Joseph Riddell, Blackwood Street
Hello Joseph. We spoke to the city council and managed to get a hold of two green bins and we’ll replace your lids. Any more problems, phone the council on 287 9700.
Dear the Key Is there any way you could put in lighting at the back of the closes at Cambusdoon Road, Craigend, the same as at the front? People use it as the main entrance and it’s very dark. Kimberley Stanway, Cambusdoon Road We looked into this for you,
