TEAM BRG WINS 35TH ANNUAL SUMMER GOLF OUTING

More than 160 golfers

enjoyed a perfect day on the golf course at the GCNKAA Golf Outing at Aston Oaks, but after the sinking of the final putt, the team from BRG Apartments including (pictured left to right) Dave Marshall, Dennis Laake, Mike Markus, and Bob Kohlman, declared victory. Coming in second was the team from Pro Maintenance Group

including Dave Estes, Andy Frommeyer (Village Green Management), Clay Nickell (ICON Property Rescue), and Jerry Helferich. Rounding out the top three teams was the foursome from Cincinnati Coin Laundry including John Gruen, Don Brunner (BRG Apartments), Eric Engel and Julie Cunningham (Sundance Property Management). Thank you to all our sponsors, especially Yardi, for stepping up as the Presenting Sponsor, and Assured Partners for sponsoring the golfer giveaways. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and none of this would be possible without the support of our members. For more photos, see inside this newsletter.

CDC EXTENDS EVICTION MORATORIUM THROUGH JULY 31

The Biden Administration’s eviction moratorium has been

extended through July 31, the CDC announced late in June. The moratorium was set to expire June 30. The extension will not impact most of Southwest Ohio due to previous federal court rulings. But this will impact Northern Kentucky, where the Association has a case challenging the moratorium before U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning. His ruling is expected soon. The National Apartment Association (NAA) has prepared

“eviction moratorium exit strategy” talking points ahead of the expiration of the CDC’s federal eviction moratorium. The end of the moratorium, and what the eviction landscape will look like in the coming weeks, is getting wide media attention throughout the country and we hope that these talking points will not only help ensure a cohesive industry voice, but also provide a start- ing point for potential media inquiries and interview requests. Please reference these points as needed for your efforts – they can be used as written, or supplemented with state and/or local perspective to fit your needs. To review these points, please see pages 14 and 15 inside this newsletter.
