unday 9 May was, for me, one of those ‘special’ Sundays which comes along when least expected.


During lock-down with its restrictions and ‘rules’, and watching video services from different Churches and listening in to UCB radio, I have been encouraged by seeing and hearing about the infectious enthusiasm of Christians on their journey through life, loving and serving our Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour, and their neighbours as themselves.


The reopening of Sunday Church services seems to challenge our faith and trust in the Lord’s mission for His Kingdom. Patience and perseverance are needed, but I take hope as Jeremiah did when the Lord spoke to him:-


“For I know the plans I have for you,” declared the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
