us to serve God in whatever capacity as opportunities come our way. We should walk and serve in confidence knowing that we have been empowered to do God’s work. On the day of Pentecost Peter stood up and preached with confidence after receiving the seal of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:14). Remember, Peter had denied Jesus three times and the disciples were meeting in fear after the death of their leader, Jesus. The day they received the power of the Holy Spirit, their lives and ministries were filled with confidence. We read in Acts 17: that “these who have turned the world upside down have come here also…”. They were proclaiming the Kingship of Jesus with great confidence because of the work that the Holy Spirit was doing in them, with them and through them. We should never be intimidated by the world or enemy because we know that “greater is He who is in us than the one in the world.”
May we continue to pray that the Church may swim in the river of the Holy Spirit fully immersed in the fullness of the Holy Spirit allowing the Holy Spirit to direct the Church as He wills. Amen
