I believe the Lord delights to hear and see our worship in music and prayer, corporately and individually, in musical and prayerful silence in our hearts as well as singing and speaking out loud. I often pray silently and every evening have a short time praying out loud. Did you know that there is such a thing as ‘silent music’ ?
“Every time I feel the Spirit moving in my heart, I will pray”
The Holy Spirit ‘sings’ to us, reminding us of the melody and the words of a hymn or worship song, encouraging and teaching us as we walk with Jesus every day.
Not all of us will find it possible to go in person into the Church building, for whatever reason, but we may, by the Grace of God, worship Him in music and prayer.
As the Lord says, “I rejoice over you with singing . . .” Zephaniah 3:17. As He sings, so we will faithfully rejoice with music and prayer at any time and and place when and where He leads.
Verse 3 of that favourite hymn, ‘Just as I am’ confirms our faith in Him.
Just as I am, You will receive,
Will welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve: Because Your promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come!
