3.1 Habitat is a region in which living things exist, an ecosystem is the interaction between a community and its habitat.
3.2 Population is a single type of species, a community is when more than one type of species co-exists.
3.3 A biotic factor is a living part of an ecosystem, an abiotic factor is a non-living part of an ecosystem.

4.1 The Pacific sea otters were hunted and their population decreased. (1) 4.2 The sea otter populations decreased. Sea otters are the predators of kelp- grazing sea urchins whose population now increased. Sea urchins eat kelp and so the kelp forests collapsed as the urchin population was so high. (4)
