Hello and welcome
to the May issue of Venue Insight Magazine, the MUST HAVE publication for the UK hospitality industry.
A massive well done goes out to all of the venues that have managed to trade outdoors since lockdown restrictions were eased last month. You and your staff have worked tirelessly and given your community a little bit of its soul back. There is now absolutely no reason that hospitality cannot trade inside from 17th May as the roadmap suggests. We’re getting there, slowly but surely.
HEINEKEN UK and PPL PRS offer up some top tips to help you maximise your outdoor offering. Whether you already have a large garden or are looking to create some outdoor space, now is the time to stay on top of it. Whatever entertainment you decide to put on, remember to ensure you are correctly licensed to play music or have the TV on in your venue. TheMusicLicence gives you permission to play music and consequently, this means that you don’t have to spend your time and energy contacting potentially hundreds of thousands of rights-holders – those people
who create music – to get permission to play or perform their music in your business.
We pick the brains of Jamie Wood, Managing Director at Square One Interiors, based in Britain’s home of metal work, The Black Country. Square One Interiors are the specialists in creating bespoke, rustic, industrial style furniture. Jamie explains why British built, bespoke furniture is such a great addition for hospitality venues.
It’s so comforting to provide details on a raft of new openings and events throughout the land. The amazing Pop Golf are coming to BOXPARK Wembley this month. Roxy Ball Room, Leeds, is all set to reveal a supersize gaming utopia. Coming later in the summer is Forum Birmingham - a newly renovated 3,500 capacity entertainment space located at the site of The Ballroom. Last and not least, Foreverland is now ready to come back with an earth-shattering bang and unveil an all-new, out of this world Neon Jungle theme across the UK from August.
Best of luck for early summer, you deserve it.
