Hitting the
Ready, aim, fire. Idleback Shooting Range is back open to enjoy the thrill and excitement of target sports once again.
Target shooting is a game of skill, accuracy and control and Idleback is home to some of the most challenging indoor shooting available. The family run indoor range offers several disciplines including air rifle and action pistol shooting, with safe and secure lanes that can be adapted to help seasoned shooters improve their performance. Due to social distancing, the centre can only offer lane hire to experienced gun handlers and existing members until Covid restrictions ease later in June. But if you’re looking to add a new skill to your arsenal, they are still taking bookings for their popular taster sessions which will recommence later in the summer.
These supervised sessions are great fun and a good introduction to target sports. Everything is supplied,

so all you need to do is turn up. They have a selection of target rifles to ensure you get the right one for your ability. A dedicated shooting officer will spend time teaching you how to shoot safely in a controlled environment. If you are starting out and thinking about buying a gun, then the shooting range is a great way to see how easy it is to operate the weapon.
But before you pull the trigger, just know that all rifles are extremely accurate so there will be no excuse if you miss! Target shooting is a sport that all the family can enjoy and Idleback welcome children from age nine to participate. They also offer party packages which makes special events or corporate days a barrel of laughs for all involved. Go head-to- head with family and friends and add ammunition to your competition with an adrenaline-filled activity. Again, these will resume later in the summer dependent on Covid restrictions. You can leave the camo at home if you wish, but be sure to check out the onsite shop which has a range of clothing, airguns and accessories that have been tested on their range and have a proven track record. As independent registered firearm dealers they only sell quality products with staff always on hand to advise you. Ensuring your equipment is routinely maintained will only enhance your performance and Idleback also offer air rifle servicing to ensure the longevity of your firearm for years to come.
