New containers


The new service will be rolled out throughout spring 2021, a collection round at a time. Each household will receive 2 recycling boxes, 1 reusable recycling sack and 2 food waste caddies (1 indoor and 1 outdoor).


Start using your new containers as soon as they are delivered and put them out on your next collection day.


Recycling more often


Once you receive your new containers, we will collect your recycling and food waste every week.


New items to recycle


Plastic pots, tubs and trays, glass, printer cartridges and batteries will all go in your new containers, along with all the usual items.


Separate food waste collection FOOD NO


Food waste collection weekly in a new container, means less time you have to store smelly food waste. Your brown bin will be for garden waste only.


Sorting your recycling


For the new service, you will need to sort your recycling by type into 3 containers. Sorting the recycling will help ensure we only collect the recyclable items.
