Locally Grown in Devon Interview with Owner Jane Willmott

Describe your business: Blackawton Blooms grow a huge variety of cottage- garden and Devon wildflowers, perennials, annuals and bulbs of every colour, for that just- gathered-from-the-garden look. We create beautiful flower

arrangements and bouquets for all occasions and venues, big or small. We provide hand-tied seasonal gift bouquets to say ‘get well soon’, ‘I’m thinking of you’ for anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day and more. We deliver locally and are now able to post anywhere in the country. We cater for weddings,

corporate events, funerals, and parties. We also supply restaurants, hotels and holiday lets with a weekly flower service. The best way for customers to order their gift bouquets is direct from us by email or phone/ Whatsapp or text. They can also order via our website, although the webshop is being re-designed as we go to print.

Moreleigh in 2018 to expand our growing capacity. Before Covid, our core business had been weddings (up to 20 a year) and supplying local businesses but over the past few months I have expanded our supply of gift bouquets to
