in Cincinnati. I’m so glad to see the snow go away and am ready for spring and golf season. We have a couple upcoming events that everyone should take the time to at- tend. First, on Friday, March 5, Sara Behrman with Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital has again assembled a great panel to discuss the financial status in to- day’s multifamily environment. This pan- el has tremendous insight and should be able to answer your questions regarding
refinancing or if you are purchasing new assets. Once again, this event will be moderated by Dave Lockard with CBRE. Dave does a great job of getting the questions started and leading the group in the open discussions. Thanks again to Sara Behrman and the Bellwether team; we look forward to this event on Friday, March 5 from 8 am to 9 am.
Next, we are hosting the Virtual Business Exchange on
Wednesday, March 17 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Of course, next to the golf outings, this is my favorite event. As a primary mem-
ber, to have the opportunity to get a 5-minute update from such a variety of industry partners is invaluable. Year-over-year our team always walks away with a new partner or two for our business. Signups end Thursday March 4 so that GCNKAA staff can prepare the virtual floorplan and schedule the personal meetings; please mark your calendars to attend this great event.
In closing I want to say thank you to Gerry Johnson who was appointed president of Associate Council for 2021. Gerry just left his position with RentPath after 14 years and is taking a new posi- tion with PERQ. The Associate Council seats are company seats so Gerry will be leaving the board and the position of council president. Gerry, I know you will still be around and chairing two events, but thank you for your service and we wish you well on your new endeavor. With Gerry’s departure from Council, Abbie Huffman with Rent Manager has agreed to move to the position of President and Rick Holste with Chadwell Supply will assume the position of 1st Vice President. Replacing Gerry on Associate Council is long time GCNKAA committee member Allison Fullenkamp with Rent Path. Thanks to all for your work on as- sociate council.
