A BLOCK of cocaine weighing more than 2lb was seized during a search of a house in Maidstone. Officers carried out a warrant in the Wierton Road area of Boughton Monchelsea at around 1.30pm on Friday, November 6, 2020.
Robert Edwards (51), of Lyngs Close, Yalding, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with possession with in- tent to supply cocaine. He appeared before Medway magistrates on Saturday, Novem- ber 7 and was remanded in cus- tody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on December 4.

Snodland club’s new changing rooms open
SNODLAND Town Football Club has opened new changing rooms after a 15-month refurbishment programme.
The facilities were opened last
month and were used under strict COVID-19 guidelines. This is the first of two phases of works, the second being a new hos- pitality suite at Potyns Sports- ground. The changing room complex con- sists of a home and away team dressing room plus main and sec- ondary officials’ dressing rooms. Building work started back in
July 2019, but was set back by bad weather and then the COVID-19 pandemic.
