Lysiak Retires from Institute Board of Directors

he Investment Casting Institute would like to thank Frank Lysiak of Kovatch Castings for his service to the ICI Board of Directors. Lysiak was elected to the Board in 2012, and has served in an officer’s roles for six of those eight years.

T From 2017 to

2018, he served as Board President, and throughout his tenure on the Board, he played a leadership role on the Audit Committee.

Frank has been

instrumental in supporting the ICI as a friend and advisor through a number of transitions, including relocating the ICI office and selecting a new accountancy firm to conduct the annual audit.

“What I appreciated most about

Frank was the support he showed to the committee members and volunteers. He would reach out to me prior to every process control class and wish me luck. He would also send emails and make phone calls expressing his appreciation. I also had the opportunity of serving with him for two years on the executive committee. I grew to value his CPA skills and realized how lucky the ICI was to have his knowledge and experience on the Audit committee.

Frank’s wit and

sense of humor will be missed.” – Julie Markee, Key Process Innovations, LLC.

“When I heard of the news of Frank’s retirement from the Board, I had a few emotions run through my head – I am selfishly sadden for both the Investment Casting Institute and specifically the Institute’s Board of Directors as Frank was the financial keel that kept the Board heading in the right direction. I enjoyed his accounting approach to running the Board with fiscal responsibility – and even more so the fun facts he’d share at our conferences regarding the venues we’d be attending! I hope I can keep the long-standing friendly wager with Frank going between UW-Whitewater and Mount Union football! Good luck Frank!” – Cliff Fischer, SeaCast

several years including 4 years together on the Executive Committee.

“I was on the Board with Frank for Frank

carried on the tradition of giving back to the industry that has been part of Kovatch Castings for many years, there is no doubt his hard work and dedication will be missed by everyone on the Board. Frank was always the consummate professional and coming to the board with an accounting background, he brought a unique outlook to our many discussions. Frank was always there with a thoughtful word or just a patient ear whether he was called in the middle of the day or night.

I am confident Frank

will remain active in the ICI and we look forward to seeing him at the Spring and Fall conferences. Thanks for the great example you set.” – Brad DeSplinter, TPM, Inc.
