Hello and welcome

to the October issue of Venue Insight Magazine, the MUST HAVE publication for the UK hospitality industry.

Hospitality is taking a beating. However, it can hold its head high in the knowledge that it’s doing everything that is asked of it, no matter how restrictive and crippling. As a sector it faces more pressure and uncertainty than any other industry in the world, yet venues and staff are still trying their very best for the great British public. As always, we hear from Kate Nicholls, Chief Executive at UKHospitality who is fighting tooth and nail to get the sector the support it needs and deserves.

There’s still a deluge of new openings out there which is heart-warming and hats off to the organisations that are navigating these choppy waters. ‘Foosball Club’, the new hub for all things table football is now open in London, as is the Tramshed Project – a new culture venue, workspace and restaurant concept for the capital. Liverpool’s Castle Street sees the opening of BoBo, a new Iberian wine bar and café which provides an authentic slice of European culture in

the middle of the city. Backyard Cinema are here to save Christmas with the return of its festive offerings and the awesome Snow Kingdom.

We’ve got some cracking Q&A’s to get stuck into this month. Sally McGill from Enigmatic UK — a world leader in wine dispense and preservation, explains why their wine serving system is an absolute game changer. They are really helping the hospitality industry to maximise profits in ‘by the glass’ offerings and avoiding wastage. (Our cover stars this month.)

Stuart Sowerby, General Manager at Worldwide Structures explain why utilising your outdoor space with a temporary structure is paramount this Autumn/ Winter. We also hear from Joby Cronkshaw, Managing Director at Evo Lifestyle Products — UK distributor for Astreea, THE PEDAL HAND SANITIZER. Sanitising at venues is an absolute must and so is this product!

Hang in there and take care
