Reba McEntire It’s a true thing that sometimes when you hear an album or song, it
transports the listener back in time to when the music was first heard. Such is the case for many with Reba McEntire’s studio album Rumor Has It. Whether it is the title track, “You Lie” or “Fancy,” among the collection of songs, these evoke memories from 1990, the year the album was initially released. Now, lookie here. Reba has released the 30th
of this classic country gem. In her own inimitable voice, she sings “You Remember Me” on this too, and I and countless others sure do! No rumor about it. Available Now

LAST WILL & TESTAMENT Bonnie Whitmore
There is something special about Bonnie
Whitmore’s voice. Her singing brings to mind the superb qualities of Linda Ronstadt, circa Ronstadt’s time with The Stone Poneys rock trio. The musical mode is part country, part 1970s blues, and filled with Americana grit and grace. As Whitmore writes her songs as well … she has a strong talent to bring her emotional thinking on issues into the mix. Personally, the song “Love Worth Remember- ing” touches the heart for its bluesy beauty. She dives out of the other musical vibes with “Imaginary,” which captures the high antics of an early 1980s groove. Her cynical sentiment strikes hard on “Flashes & Cables” and is the most hard rock sound on the set. The prettiest tune and one song that is simply delivered, which closes the album, is “George’s Lullaby.” There you have it: Bonnie Whitmore tugs at the heart strings and just as importantly will make you think as you listen. Available October 2
THE LONELINESS IN ME Rachel Brooke
There is a scene in Sweet Dreams where Jessica Lange as Patsy Cline says, “You don’t sing, you whine!” This is definitely not the case with Rachel Brooke. Brooke captures the pure essence of classic country anew on The Loneliness in Me. Bring out the fiddle for the fun, a cold brew to sob in and a piano, and let Brooke transport you to a time when just gathering on a Saturday night was done just right. There’s a honky-tonk guy and gal in practically all of us. Rachel is a real tomato with no salt on her tail in all regards. So … no western wear required. Just relish in a new artist to capture true country music in a timeless fashion. Available October 23
