APPOINTMENTS Purpose Media expands team

Marketing agency Purpose Media has expanded its team as it pledges to help businesses take their next steps towards Covid-19 recovery. Emma Blaken, Brogan Edwards and Ellie Buckle have joined the South

Normanton company to bolster the account management and digital marketing teams. Emma Blaken joins from manufacturing company Recticel Limited, where

she managed accounts valued at £1.5m, and is keen to unleash her creativity working with long-term clients as an account manager. She said: "Purpose is an exciting place to be right now – we can see

clients are ready to get back to business and look at new tactics to engage their customers. I’m already enjoying being part of the team and helping clients access all the tools we have to offer." Former F1 international events account manager Brogan Edwards is

hoping her organised and outgoing manner will be an asset for key projects as sales account manager. Speaking about her new role, Brogan said: "I previously worked at Pride

Park Stadium and ran the hospitality boxes. I met Purpose Media there a few times and knew it was my kind of company.

"I already love working with our clients as a point of contact for accounts

and new business, to advise them on the best options for marketing – it’s really interesting." Making a hat-trick of new recruits, Ellie Buckle joins from digital agency

Hallam as Purpose Media’s head of digital and strategy. With her career to date embedded in all things digital and strategy, Ellie brings a passion to grow the digital offer from Purpose Media. She said: "Purpose Media has great plans to grow in the next few years.

It’s an exciting time to be in digital marketing and there are new innovations coming through that we can use to shape our clients strategies. "I’m really excited to get started and see what we can achieve.” Purpose Media managing director Matt Wheatcroft added: "Purpose

Media started in a recession, and while many businesses would look to avoid taking risks or new recruits, we know that’s not the way to survive. "Looking after our customers and growing our digital offer is the best

way we can make sure our clients come out of a crisis on top, and right now we’re totally committed to ensuring people who work with us don’t just survive, they thrive.

Cloud accounting expert Becki Roberts has been promoted to senior manager at UHY Hacker Young – and will lead the firm’s UK- wide cloud accounting team from the group’s Nottingham office. In her new role, Becki – who

joined UHY Nottingham in 2018 – will co-ordinate the team across the firm’s 19 offices and head up delivery of the group’s digital change programme. Becki said: “I joined UHY as I

wanted to help drive the firm’s cloud-based offering forward, so being promoted to head of the national cloud group is a special moment in my career. “Cloud-based accounting is a

really exciting part of what UHY offers currently. More companies are starting to use the cloud and we’ve certainly seen an increase in interest from clients during the UK- wide lockdown, with thousands of businesses across the region being forced to work from home. “Now, more than ever, it’s vital

for clients to have up-to-date information and being able to access this remotely is a real game- changer. There’s so much uncertainty at the moment, so being able to see finances in real time is important when it comes to making pivotal decisions.”

UHY Hacker Young Group chairman Colin Wright added: “Becki has worked tirelessly to grow her cloud accounting expertise since joining UHY Hacker Young and is now best-placed to lead the team. As well as implementing cloud accounting systems, Becki has the knowledge and experience to help clients use data to make key decisions. “With the appointment of Becki,

we will continue to focus on developing this area of our offering.”
