COFFEE AND CARE Re-opening its doors for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown, social enterprise café Evolve returned to the city of Birmingham last month, bringing wellbeing in its wake. Looking to provide safe spaces for people in a post-pandemic ‘new normal’, Evolve’s two sites will become Birmingham’s first wellbeing cafés, focused on putting health first.
In light of COVID-19, the spotlight is on health more than ever and with this, shocking statistics have emerged about both our physical and mental health: latest results show that the NHS estimates that one in four adults has a BMI of over 30; while more than two-thirds of adults reported feeling somewhat or very worried about the effect the pandemic is having on their life.

A leading water treatment company is expanding the manufacture and distribution of its own brand of sanitiser with a new operation at Redditch, after commercial property agents John Truslove helped them find the right premises.
The coronavirus pandemic has seen a huge increase in demand for sanitiser and has led International Water Solutions Ltd to launch a new arm of its business – Mydis – focused on the production and supply of its own alcohol-free antibacterial sanitiser.
Finance director Jeffrey Kinn said: “We are based in Essex and needed a more central distribution centre, in the Midlands. Redditch was ideal for our purposes.”
