oundry Support Operations was founded by industry experts who collectively had more than 70 years’ in


the investment casting


industry. With a broad base of experience comprised of management positions in plant operations, engineering, sales and marketing, and quality assurance, we decided to start our own business and support the industry as independent advisors. Throughout the past 10 years of our business, we have traveled to Europe, Asia and throughout the US working with clients. Our projects have included process improvement, dimensional control, failure


analysis, new plant


design and start-up, and capacity improvements.

from direct engagement with foundry clients to assisting OEM’s with their suppliers’ casting-related issues.

Our Approach When a prospective client contacts us, our approach is to have a preliminary conversation as a “get to know each other” discussion. In this conversation, we describe our business and experience and we get to understand what the client’s needs are.


If all goes well, we


share and sign an NDA, then arrange for an on-site plant assessment during which we usually do a shop floor tour and have a conference room strategic discussion where we define the needs and expectations of the project. When working on projects, we spend a lot of time on the shop floor


because that’s where it all happens. And, we work closely with clients’ teams with the intention of implementing permanent solutions. Our desire is to develop a long-lasting win/win relationship by accomplishing successful project results.


Collaboration with the ICI Foundry Support Operations, LLC is a member of the Investment Casting Institute (ICI). We have participated in the ICI Casting Certification Course and ICI Process Control Course as a trainer. In addition, we have given papers at ICI and AFS (American Foundry Society) conferences.
