North Norfolk Business Impact Survey To help establish a clearer picture of the challenges local businesses are facing as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and the scale of impact the pandemic has had on local businesses, North Norfolk District Council has launched the North Norfolk Covid-19 Business Impact Survey. This survey, which should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete, will directly inform future recovery support for local businesses from the District Council and potentially those within other key organisations such as Central Government, the New Anglia LEP, other local authorities and local business groups. It will also provide evidence to potentially influence future business funding or business support programmes.
The survey can be completed via
www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/tasks/economic- growth/information-for-businesses-affected-by-covid-19, and this web page also contains useful information about assistance available for businesses affected by Covid-19.
WROXHAM PARISH COUNCIL NEWS
Caen Meadow The hotter than normal weather in May has brought out ever larger numbers of visitors with their attendant pressures both on the Meadow and on parking in the village. Recently we formed the Friends Of Caen Meadow made up of people who use and love the area to work with the Parish Council on keeping this precious resource at its best. The coordinator of the Friends Of Caen Meadow is Councillor Angela Ireland who has written a short piece to introduce the group.
“Wroxham residents are very lucky to have this place of outstanding natural beauty available for walking, exercising their dogs, picnicking and launching canoes and paddle boards from the small beach. Over the bank holiday weekend it was estimated that over 200 people were enjoying its facilities in just one afternoon. Under normal circumstances that would be a happy fact to report but during Covid quarantine it would be almost impossible to be socially distanced as required. If you visit when it’s busy do try to adhere to the guidance and if you can’t socially distance on the main area consider wandering around the corner to the Trafford Memorial Ground or take a twenty minute walk to the Trafford beach at Wroxham broad. Instructions are on the information board. The Parish Council maintains the meadow and the Trafford memorial ground keeping it a safe place to relax all year round and to help it in its efforts have established a small group of volunteers “ The Friends of Caen Meadow”. This group checks that the litter is cleared away and that no anti social behaviour from a minority is happening that will spoil the enjoyment of the majority. Litter and dog fouling is an issue in the summer, there are bins for both at either entrance to the meadow, please use them and if the bins are full do consider taking your litter home. Bins are emptied twice each week in the summer season. Enjoy the meadow, it’s kept as close to its natural state as we can, but if you have any ideas for improvement please let the friends know via the Parish Clerk or you can email me direct:
