PRIDE NIGHT WITH THE ANAHEIM DUCKS & PRIDE NIGHT AT THE SAN DIEGO GULLS
MenAlive, the Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus, will present the Southern
California premiere of Broadway composer Andrew Lippa’s latest choral masterwork,UNBREAKABLE — a 14-movement musical told through several often-unsung stories that span 120 years of LGBTQ history in America. Join the chorus onFriday, April 3 and Saturday April 4 to experience this moving and ultimately triumphant tribute to the power of a community that cannot be broken ... as we recall “where we’ve been, what we’ve endured, and who we are today.” The concerts promise a treat for the eyes as well as filled with high energy dance numbers in a wide display of costumes and staging. Let’s hit the ice and score the goal … of celebrating our community! First up in Orange County, join OC Pride onTuesday, March 10 when the Anaheim Ducks take on the Ottawa Senators in NHL action. Make sure to be in your seats 30 minutes before the game starts to watch the Ducks players warm- up with rainbow Pride wrapped hockey sticks in support of the You Can Play Project, which works to ensure the safety and inclusion of all in sports – including LGBTQ athletes, coaches and fans. All ticket prices include a special Pride Night discount. A portion of each ticket purchased will go back to OC Pride.

ice hockey team, San Diego Pride and the You Can Play Project to celebrate and highlight the LGBTQ community in San Diego as the Gulls host the San Jose Barracuda onFriday, March 13 at Pechanga Arena. For each ticket sold, the Gulls will donate $5 back to San Diego Pride’s year-round education and advocacy efforts. The first 100 ticket purchasers will be invited to participate in a post-game photo at center ice after the final horn. Additionally, a first intermission Zamboni ride will be raffled off to one lucky winner. Then during the second intermission, San Diego Pride will be highlighted during the Gulls Community

CATHEDRAL CITY LGBT DAYS California’s first Pride festival of the year, scheduled forFriday, March 27
through Sunday, March 29, will honor the LGBT community and celebrate the diversity of Cathedral City. The free weekend festival includes an opening night kickoff party, live musical performances, outdoor dancing, food, beverages and community booths. Saturday morning features one of the
ART OF PRIDE: YOUTH ART SHOW Art is a positive form of expression, and in support of that, San Diego Pride
and Art of Pride are once again partnering to create a platform for young, local LGBTQ+ artists. OnSaturday, March 14, San Diego Pride hosts the Youth Art Show, providing LGBTQ+ youth an opportunity to use art as activism, offering a creative outlet to showcase their talents and their visions for themselves, our community and our movements. This year’s theme is “Together We Rise,” calling on us to engage in collaborative social justice. It is an acknowledg- ment that as many seek to divide us, we will work to shed light on the issues impacting our movement and communities, through an intersectional lens.

It’s that time again, as the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach will host its annual
Black & White Ball in the beautiful Pacific Ballroom at Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. One of the most sought-after charity events in the city, the Black & White Ball offers guests an evening of elegance and sophistication, in the spirit of celebration of the LGBTQ community’s many achievements. A cocktail hour with hosted champagne service and tray-passed appetizers begins the fete at 6 p.m., followed by a three-course dinner with wine service and the evening’s awards program. This event raises money for the largest publicly supported LGBTQ direct services organization in greater Long Beach and its more than 25,000 clients a year, making it a true community investment. Last year’s event was record-setting. The Center will present three Icon Awards to exemplary members of the Southern California community for their outstanding contributions to the LGBTQ community.Tim Patton, senior administrative deputy at Office of Mayor Robert Garcia, will be awarded the 2020 Political Icon award. Other honorees will be professor and HIV researcherDr. T. Alex Washington (Ellen Ward Leadership Icon) and South Coast Chorale, the LGBTQ Chorus of Long Beach (Community Icon).
