Fort Worth Dressage Club News
The Fort Worth Dressage Club (FWDC) is a club devoted to dressage
and dressage activities for its members. We work throughout the year to pro- vide educational opportunities and fun activities for our members. FWDC holds monthly meetings at Szechuan Chinese Restaurant off
Bryant Irving the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 PM. Everyone is wel- come. Our website is

website, we have pictures of members at different activities and our latest happenings. FWDC sends out group e-mails to members to keep them informed of
club activities and other dressage events in the community. Let me know if you would like a dressage event you would like to get the word out to other dressage enthusiast FWDC held our annual camp at Nobel Champions. This was a 3 day
camp for members who have volunteered throughout the year. This year our clinician was Region 9 Director Sherry Guess. Sherry has trained horses from first time under saddle to Grand Prix. She is a “L” graduate, USDF Bronze medalist and a USDF Certified Instructor. Sherry was honored as the USDF Volunteer of the Year in 2010. Riders came away with specific exercises to further their dressage goals, knowledge learned from watching other riders and a fun filled, educational week-end. We also had Certified Equine Massage therapist and Movement consultant Casey McQueen do a live demonstration on one of our participants horses. Next up is our Holi-
day party in December and then our annual Awards Banquet and Silent Auction to benefit our Scholarship Fund in January. Join FWDC and
learn more about the wonderful sport of dres- sage. We welcome all levels of riders on all breeds of horses! w

Kinley Campbell and Kira Calver won the Youth at South Louisiana Team Sorting Association’s October 12 show.
Azael Esquivel and Eddy Garcia won the #9 roping, turning 4 head in
32.58, at the X-Treme 16th annual Chris Irwin Memorial Roping in An- drews, October 19.
Holland Elizabeth Tolleson was born October 21 to Mallory
(Williams) and Ross Tolleson in Anchorage, AK. Folks in Jacksboro, TX, already have plans to put little Holland on a cutting horse!
Colleen Johnson, Navasota, recently became a realtor affiliated with

Kenneth Rodgers, Paragould, AR, and The Real Slim Shady won the
Non-Pro competition under both judges at the October 25 USCHA’s Fort Worth Fall Festival.
Taylor Munsell and Martha Angelone won the average in the Cinch
Ladies #11.5 with 24.72 on 3 head October 27 at the USTRC 30th National Finals of Team Roping competition in Oklahoma City.
Josh Briggs, Pilot Point, was Non-Pro World Champion at the Stock
Horse of Texas World Show October 29 in Abilene. Pake Bell, Maysville, OK, took the top 2 heeler monies in the #7
Pick/Draw average at Jeff Smith Production’s NFTR Championship at Guthrie November 1. Mounted on Gunna Joy, he and Spence Bell took first with 46.73 on 4 head, and he and Cale Ellis’s 47.33 on 4 earned 2nd place.
Whizkey N Diamonds has entered NRHA’s Million Dollar Sire club.
Owned by Rhodes River Ranch and standing at Oklahoma Equine Hospi- tal, Goldsby, OK, the 2006 buckskin stallion is by Topsail Whiz, the all- time leading sire of NRHA money-earners. He earned more than $216,335 LTE during his show career. Now his 312 competition-age offspring have allowed him to reach this elite status after just 7 breeding seasons.
Cailyn Simonis, a sophomore at North Central Texas College and a
member of that equestrian team, posted the highest reining score of the day and won open reining at Show #1 at the first show of the season November 2, against West Texas A&M University and at Canyon.
