Appeal for dog missing after burglary at house
A FAMILY are desperately trying to find their dog, Primrose, which went missing after their house was broken into in Bearsted. Mother of four, Tracey Reeder,
50, of Hog Hill, told Downs Mail the house is never usually empty, and a car was sitting on the drive- way during the incident on Wednesday, October 30. Mrs Reeder, who works as an ex-
ecutive assistant to the chief execu- tive at Maidstone Hospital said: “I was at work and my boys had left the house to go into town at around lunchtime. “When they came back the gate
was wide open, and my bedroom had been trashed. Every piece of jewellery I own has been stolen, in- cluding some sentimental items I got for my 50th birthday in May. “But we just want Primrose back,
no questions asked, even if she is left at the vets or something. She is microchipped. We are offering an £1,000 reward.”
Primrose is a two-and-a-half-
year-old Cavapoo, a cross between a poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In a Facebook post, Mrs Reeder wrote: “We are distraught. She be- longs to my son who is autistic.” The post so far has had more
than 3,700 comments and 111,000 shares. A spokesman said: “Kent Police
were called after a house in Hog Hill, Bearsted, was burgled be- tween noon and 2pm on Wednes- day, October 30. “Items of jewellery are said to
have been stolen and Primrose, a ginger Cavapoo, was also discov- ered to be missing. ”Officers have completed a num-
ber of enquiries and have searched the area for the dog, which has not been found at this stage.” Anyone with information that
may help the investigation or who thinks may have seen the missing dog or knows where it might be, is
