2019 TALHFA Member of the Year Award: Dave Clark


Dave is currently the Executive Director of the NORTEX Housing Finance Corporation. He has served in that position for several years. Prior to that appointment, Dave served


on the NORTEX HFC Board since the mid-90s. NORTEX joined TALHFA in the late 90s and Dave has served on the TALHFA Board since 2000.


He’s always been a knowledgeable member with keen instincts in rural housing needs and challenges. Thru the years, NORTEX HFC has been instrumental in bringing over 1000 single-family residences to Wichita Falls and the surrounding service area, provid- ing quality senior housing, and all the while working with various professionals to meet the needs of their communities.


Dave understands the importance of our TALHFA mission to provide affordable hous- ing. Dave also participates with his community to improve housing, even when the HFC is not directly involved with the needs. Dave strives to understand changes in the industry and takes his role, and his Board’s role very seriously. As issuers they are asked to grow and learn.


After receiving the award, Dave stated “I am humbled by the recognition from the members of TALHFA. It is such a pleasure to be a part of an organization comprised of such friendly, knowledgeable people who are willing to share their experience. “
