We were delighted to welcome the following to our meetings and events. Tues 1st:


Ian Dow, Immediate Past District Governor and Nona Lamb from Aberdeen St Nicholas Rotary Club, Colin Mitchell from the St Andrews Rotary Club, Dan Blank and Bob McClellan from Superior Rotary Club in Wisconsin and Kathleen and Louis Melendez from Gig Harbour Rotary Club, Washington State.


Tues 8th: Karen Donaldson, Lynn Herbert and Jean Wilson from Leven Rotary Club and past member Fiona Wells now of North Berwick Rotary Club. Tues 15th: Chris Brown of Sutton Coldfield Vesey Rotary Club, Claire Simpson and Lewis Lennie representing Fife Young Carers and interested guests Watson Bell, Grant Cargill, Hugh Elliot, Duncan Fernie, Jane Houston, Jim McLay, Gordon Moir, Karl Morgan, Graham Simpson and Jane Harrison Smith. Mon 28th: District Governor Alastair McNair and his wife Ann and 112 golfers at the Kingsbarns Competition, Tues 29th: Our speaker George Finley, a member of the St Andrews club and Robin Nettleton, Derek Peden, Stephen Roper, Iain Seivewright and A.N. Other who did not sign our book, all from Brignorth Rotary Club.


At some point during each meeting members are asked if they would like to donate a ‘Happy Pound’ for something that has pleased them, made them happy or enjoy a laugh in the previous week. Here are some of October’s best:


* David Sandford was delighted that Scotland had beaten Samoa at rugby.


* Kathleen Melendez was pleased that she had managed to arrange the trip to Scotland.


* James Yule had enjoyed his recent trip Hungary, Austria and Slovakia.
