15. When Chapel Lane bears right, follow a path between two bungalows, over a cattle grid and all the way to a farmhouse which is just below the White Horse. Here, turn right towards a white house and a wooden gate and stile.

16. After crossing the stile, continue ahead passing the white house on your right and going over another stile. Shortly, you will reach a gate and a stile on your left, which you cross and then turn right along the path. You will see a gate on your right, which you ignore, and instead take the gate straight ahead to follow the White Horse Trail.

17. At the time of our walk, this path was quite overgrown, but you can get through. Continue straight ahead to cross a stile into an open field and carry on straight along the path.

18. This field takes you to a gravel track. The path follows ahead to a gate – at the time of walking there was a maize crop, so we chose to follow around the edge of the crop. We turned right up the gravel track and then turned left at the crop edge to follow the edge of the crop round.

19. Soon you will see the metal gate on your right, which you pass through and then follow the path straight ahead.

20. Continue until you reach a five-bar metal gate, pass through the gate and turn right around the corner to head up the hill between two lines of trees.

21. Ignore a path off to your right and stick to the main track. At the top it bears right and comes out into an open space known as Bincknoll Camp.
