1. Start from the church, from the car park, head out on the grassy track away from the road. You will pass an allotment on your right and go through a gap in the hedge into a field.

2. Turn right in the field to follow the path with a hedge and field on your left and some trees on your right. The path bears round to the right and after a while you come out of the wooded area, passing some houses on your right.

Useful information Location and parking:

Park by the church in Broad Hinton, which is just off the B4041.

Terrain: There are a few steep climbs towards the

end of the walk, but it’s mostly flat. Some parts of the walk become a bit overgrown in summer, but they are passable. There is one bit of road with no pavement, so take care.

Distance: 8.76m (14.1km) Time: 3.5 hours

Note: Dogs should be kept on leads around livestock.

5. After about half a mile, you will reach two houses on the left. Opposite the first house turn right through a wooden gate to follow the footpath straight ahead, which goes through the middle of a field.

6. At the top of the field, bear right then left through a gap in the hedge and then head straight across another two fields, following the clearly marked path.
