A BOUNTY OF BABIES AT BASSENTHWAITE ~ Bassenthwaite School News ~


have a chat and a cuppa, knowing their toddlers are being kept busy and entertained with exciting activities that have been provided by the school. There have been many ‘messy’ activities for the toddlers to enjoy, along with construction toys, stories, cutting and sticking and song singing.


Mammas that Move is a fitness and dance class that mums can come along to with their babies and toddlers in tow. This takes place on a Wednesday morning, also in the school hall. If you fancy strutting your stuff or coming to join us at the toddler group, please have a look at our Facebook page for the link to the class.


Bassenthwaite School has been abundant with babies this half-term, with the revival of our Toddler group and a new initiative ‘Mammas that Move’. The toddler group meets every Thursday morning in the school hall and is a chance for mums to gather to


30 hours FUNDED childcare for 3 & 4 year olds.


The younger end of the school has been busy lighting fires in the forest this half-term but don't worry, this has been under close supervision of Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft staff. The children learned how to make fire using flint and cotton woo, then toasted marshmallows as a special treat. They also visited Lingholm Gardens to harvest pumpkins and to tend to our resident
