Q. What’s your best advice for auditions?


A. it’s important to be very receptive to what you’re asked and give more of yourself than you’re asked.


Q. What inspires you and how do you inspire others?


A. My dancers are my inspiration. My past achievements


including dancing


with the National Ballet of Canada are huge but what’s so important is the timing of when I was a dancer. It was towards the end of a golden era for the ballet greats and the beginning of a new generation in the dance world. I was privileged that I engaged, worked and was coached by them and saw big names like Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov perform! I’ve had such privileged education,


experiences and


observations that are key to how I can talk to my dancers in the studio, direct and share my vision today. Yoko, my wife and Associate Director is also a great strength in the academy inspiring


the dancers of tomorrow


training in a very holistic way. We met dancing together on a tour in New York, touring 26 cities in six weeks in America and the rest is history!
