Paint champions included Jaylen Shutte (Y-WT/Mr Goldseeker Taylor), Karen Kennicott (Am-WT/Just Spot My Dot), Brittany Sonntag (Nov-Am/Millenium Assets), Marilyn Novat (Am & Open/Cash Is Good), and Natalie Baca (SB-Am/Smoke Zee Whiz). Pinto HPs included Connie Hatley (Am-WT/Array Of Neon), and Marilyn Novat (Am & Open/Cash Is Good). Oklahoma Foundation QH Registrywas well-represented
at the FQHR’s World Roundup and Review, held July 19-21 in Black River Falls, WI. Successful Oklahoma folks that won HPs included Kim Owen (Amateur), Debbie Dunsworth (Open), and Mason Smith (Jr-Youth and Versatility).
South LA Team Sorting Assoc’s July 20 event, held in
Port Allen, resulted in event winners Youth (Kira Calvert & Mar- lee Bessetti), #6-HC-Ranch (Robert Harrison & Chad Camp- bell), #10-HC-Ranch (E.B. Thompson & Joseph Zito), and #15-HC-3-Man-2Gate (Tammie Robillard, Andrew Zito, & Charlotte Blanchard).
The Dressage in the Hill Country Summer Sizzle Shows
were held July 20-21 at Dripping Springs Ranch Park. To avoid the hottest hours of the day, management limited the number of rides each day, with the last ride starting before 1 p.m. The first day’s show champions were Grace Nolke (Jr/Dyna Rey), Kate Mesches (Sr/Centurys Gold Sunday), and Bailey West (Open/Jemma). Day 2’s champs included Jewel New (Jr/Zan Reminic), Kate Mesches (Sr/Centurys Gold Sunday), and Emily Brackenridge (Open/A Star In Dancing). Overall series cham- pions were Jewel New (Jr/Zan Reminic), Kate Mesches (Sr/Cen- turys Gold Sunday), and Emily Brackenridge (Open/A Star In Dancing). The next scheduled Dressage in the Hill Country show will be the Holiday Classic on December 7-8. Show rules, prize list, and entry forms will be available on October 1, at

The Glen Rose Summer Classic, held July 25-28 paid out

combined effort by NMQHA and PGSQHA. 5 categories were chosen, with classes from NMQHA’s April 25-28 Land of Enchantment Show and PGSQHA’s Boom Cir- cuit (July 25-28). When points were tallied, winners were Gota Lota Style (In-Hand/Ruth Dismuke-Blakely/Neita Miller), Lucky Detail (Western/Sid and Charlene John- son/Eva Johnson and Dakota Honea), Make A Candy Man (English/Sherryl Stovall), Blue Chexy Wood (Speed/Karyn S. Miller), and Mr Gatsby (Ranch/Ruth Dismuke-Blakely/Barry Bader and Ruth Dismuke- Blakely).
The 2019 NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting
finals were held July 26, in conjunction with the Sum- mer Spectacular in Fort Worth. Both the Junior and Sen- ior Youth wins went to 2 Weatherford youth. Will Bushaw and Velvets Revolver’s 224 in the finals won the Junior division, and Lance Cooper and Special Nu Boon’s 225 earned the Senior win.
Central Texas Barrel Racing Association Sum-
mer Splash, held July 26-28 in Hamilton, paid out $36,943. Patty Clark, Baird, and Dashing Bob won the Open 1D all 3 days, with times of 16.665, 16.666, and 16.462.
