THE BEST NEW MUSIC COMING STRAIGHT OUTTA NORWICH brought to you by

AUDIOLINE

If you’ve been keeping an eye on Introducing in Norfolk the last few months, you might well recognise a familiar face. We admit it - we might have fallen in love.

Aſter putting his first track on the BBC Uploader back in Autumn last year, singer-songwriter Benjamin Brient - going under the alias Ben Denny Mo - impressed us from the start. Since then, we’ve played every single song he’s uploaded on the show - one of which was branded the Introducing Record of the Week on BBC Radio Norfolk.

He’s also joined us on the lineup for two BBC Music Introducing live stages at Lord Mayor’s Celebration and Banham Fest this summer. He is an astoundingly passionate performer

- so much so he broke a guitar string during one of the more energetic tunes!

Ben started as a solo artist but is now performing with a band and it’s transformed his sound. It’s allowed his natural energy to come through, something the audience has really begun to react to. The band adds both volume and subtlety to his songs which shows huge promise for the coming years.

Ben’s now living up in Fakenham, but hasn’t always been a Norfolk resident.

Born in South London, his family then upped and moved to Gozo - one of the Maltese islands - where he stayed for 15 years. Music has pretty much always been a huge part of his life, and he’s gone from gigging around Malta to all around the UK.

Even if you haven’t yet caught him live, his recorded efforts are well worth a listen. So far he’s released a couple of singles from forthcoming EP Jester of Love, produced by Rhys Downing (who has worked with the likes of Mark Ronson and A$AP Rocky). And we can’t wait for more.
