LIVE 24-SEVEN FAMILY BREAKS THE BELFRY HOTEL & RESORT

After an exhilarating day spent at Drayton Manor Park, Tina Thomas-Bassett arrived back with her family to the comfort of The Belfry Hotel & Resort, nestled in over 500 acres of North Warwickshire countryside, it’s idyllic for a family getaway. Named as England’s Leading Resort, it caters for all types of family stays – to include our action-packed one!

The friendly reception team are so knowledgeable, they take time to explain where everything is and the many facilities you can tap into during your stay. Paying particular attention to the children, us adults were handed maps of the resort and the children get their own child friendly maps too which they studied in depth.

WOODLAND WALK

Situated in the woods adjacent to hotel, the Woodland Walk is an interactive adventure for families with young children. Take a walk on the wild side with den building, wildlife spotting and a bug hotel. For all those wishing to challenge themselves a little more, fitness obstacles are in place. It was lovely to watch the girls and other children playing freely, the bug house certainly was popular. Located perfectly next to the Woodland Walk, is The Belfry’s playground fully equipped with swings, a climbing obstacle course and slide, a super way to burn off excess energy!

Having worked up an appetite it was time to clean up and head for dinner. We headed down to Rocca’s Pizza Pasta Restaurant, one of three restaurants within the Hotel.

40 FAMILY ROOM:

The family room was the perfect size for the four of us, providing all the space we needed to relax in style. We entered the master room via the main door which featured a sumptuous double sized bed and huge dressing area, occasional chair and table. The girls entered their room via a connecting door and as they entered there were gasps of joy – two single beds with a cute teddy bear to snuggle up with during the night on each – what a lovely touch! The bathroom was sleek with beautiful tiling a powerful shower and luxurious toiletries from the Espa range which is available to purchase from The Spa. Two plasma screens, one in each room, and a selection of fine teas and coffees and magazines – Live 24-Seven of course, are also features of the room.

After unpacking our luggage, we headed down to our first experience the Woodland Walk

ROCCA’S PIZZA PASTA RESTAURANT

Family friendly Italian restaurant, Rocca’s menu caters to all the family with a delicious selection of starters, home-made pizza and pasta dishes all made using the freshest and highest quality locally sourced ingredients, plus mouth-watering desserts.

The staff are very attentive making all members of the family feel at home, the highlight for the girls was the ‘chocolate fudge Sundae’ with hot chocolate sauce which you poured on yourself, generously! There were other young families around us who all seemed to be enjoying the good food and relaxed child friendly atmosphere.

After dinner we headed for drinks in the iconic Brabazon bar, right at the heart of the hotel, it’s the place to meet and mingle. Aesthetically beautiful, the bar boasts a brushed steel top and emerald green colour scheme. Above it, a central glass dome
