THE WINDSOR CASTLE INN A HIDDEN GEM FOR A

TRULY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. . .

next feast! The food, like the service at The Windsor Castle is excellent. The attention to detail and non-pretentious approach to the menu really does win every time as does the generous portions, creatively presented - but definitely with substance over style in mind.

We finished on a wonderful note with a wickedly good creme brulee which was light, smooth and delightfully creamy. A dessert that many attempt, but few perfect - but they have here. The menu also caters extremely well for Vegetarians and Vegans, always worth mentioning.

The mouthwatering pan-fried king prawns with homemade mango and chutney which is served with mixed leaves, really is a super way to start a dining experience. The great combination of flavours colliding to kick-star the taste buds. I would certainly recommend the chilli and parmesan chicken with dauphinoise potato and fresh seasonal vegetables, which is no ordinary chicken dish let me assure you! Wholesome, with a contemporary twist, the accompanying pink peppercorn sauce was light and delicious. No visit to The Windsor Castle Inn is complete without sampling or acknowledging the existence of the traditional steak and ale pie which draws people from far and wide, not least because of the famous Sadlers Ale gravy which takes 3 days to make!

We decided to take a break between mains and dessert in order to savour the abundance of flavours from the previous courses, and I won't lie, to try and make a little room for the
