GREAT news at last Holton has a defibrillator – its on the wall outside the Village Hall, under the canopy, if its needed you dial the numbers and you would be talked through how to use it. Organised by Holton
Parish Council and funded by them, Halesworth Lions and Cllr Tony Goldson, we hope is never has to be used, but its presence could just save your life.

kitchen has had a make over, we have not one but two splendid new cookers and a dishwasher. New roller blinds cover the hatch, and shortly a fresh coat of paint. All thanks to a grant to cover the cost of the works and equipment. Bill Ellis has been very busy supervising the
electrical work, done by

WANGFORD Veterinary Clinic is asking all those young artists out there to get creative. We are celebrating pets and how much we love them, all of them, of all shapes and sizes, dogs, cats, rabbits, in fact any animal that can be described, as a pet. There are 3 age categories: under 6 years of age, 6 – 10 years of age and 11 – 15 years of age and we are asking entrants to send us their drawings, paintings and collages with the wording “ I love my Pet” on their poster. Our Judge is local Artist, Marney Merrett of Draw Your Pet – Pet Portraits https://
drawyourpet.artweb.com/ A first place winner will be
our kitchen who will have lots of yummy things and our new barbecue outside offering burgers etc. The bar will be open all day, a tombola will provide many opportunities to be a winner as will our strolling booze raffle sellers. The other major undertaking will happen on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th when with kind help of residents of Holton we hold
our Open Gardens
event. On both days the Hall will be your first stop to pick up maps of the gardens opening and for refreshments – all homemade. We
are really grateful to
those hard working gardeners for the use of their beautiful spaces that do really generate a community spirit.

Bramfield Stepping Stones Pre-School
AS we head into the Summer months with warmer, brighter days the children at Bramfield Stepping Stones have fully embraced the great outdoors with activities,
snack times, presented in our specially
designed with
including outdoor
play scape. We have also enjoyed exploring the natural habitats of insects and small mammals
adventures
up to Bramfield’s glorious ‘Castle Meadow’ which we are fortunate to have access to right on our doorstep, and which has also provided perfect opportunities for flying kites and chasing bubbles. Bramfield Primary School Stepping
invited Stones to
join them in the mini-version of the ‘Big Bike Ride’, held in memory of the beloved former head teacher Kate Woodruff, which is raising money for exciting new early years resources in the primary school and also for Macmillan Cancer Support. If you have a 2, 3 or 4 year old and would be interested in a place at Bramfield Stepping Stones we are open five days a week 9.15am-3.15pm with Breakfast club and Out of School Club facilities available from 7.45am to 6pm. In our last Ofsted inspection, we were awarded ‘Good’ in all
areas. We welcome children at all stages of development, including those in nappies, and from the Halesworth area and beyond. All children are entitled to 15 hours per week free, government
funded,
sessions in the term following their
third funding and
birthday. 30-hour two-year-old
funding is also available for families meeting the criteria. For

up with animals and is a mother of five, I have always believed that having family pets is good for children. Our competition is all about celebrating just what a special part they play in our lives. In addition to teaching us empathy, responsibility, and love, pets can make wonderful non-judgemental
friends and
companions for us all. Pets also show children how to express love by stroking, being gentle,
hugging or kissing and have been shown to help children overcome shyness, develop trust, and enhance their social skills. As an artist, Marney says that each and every pet is different and has their
own unique
personality, which she tries to capture and we are hoping that our young artists are able to show just how special their pet is to them. The
deadline 24th June. Winners
is Monday will
be
notified by June 30th. Entries must be posted or dropped into Wangford Veterinary Clinic by this date. I am afraid entries cannot be returned to the artist by post, but can be collected from the practice. Please send the artwork with the artists name,
age, home address,
parents name, parents phone number.
