THE Hoppa has a new timetable.
This will include 2019 celebrates
Golden Year of the ever- popular Uggeshall Country Teas and they will be held on the last weekend of July and the first weekend of August from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Just 5 miles from Southwold
and set in idyllic surroundings of the orchard and garden of the Old School in Uggeshall, the teas have become a fixture in the diaries of numerous visitors to Suffolk over the past 49 years. As ever, friendly villagers will be there to welcome guests and serve the now traditional home-made
breads, Suffolk rusks and wonderful Slimmers World defying cakes, all served with freshly-made pots of tea, coffee or soft drinks.
Teas Recipe Books and mugs will be on sale, the Uggeshall Garden Club will be donating a selection of plants and produce and a bric-a-brac stall may be selling a yet-to-be discovered antique.
COUNTRY TEAS 2018 Uggeshall Teas once again enjoyed great support and
50th proceeds went towards

Parking is free and plentiful
and the grounds and facilities are wheelchair accessible. If you rely on Sat-Nav to

. HACT would like to take this opportunity to thank the Halesworth Golf Club for their financial contribution in 2011 which enabled them to purchase the fondly known ‘Golf Bus’. We regret the loss of this benevolence and we
News from the Hoppa are now seeking to eventually
acquire a replacement vehicle by looking for new funding in the community. The
Hoppa brings over £100,000 worth of shopping revenue to Halesworth per year. In 2019 we hope to exceed this total. Because of the generosity of our volunteers
our drivers and bus buddies, we save the government on average £75,000 per year in volunteer hours. For this we owe them our gratitude. We would also like to thank local businesses and the Halesworth Town Council who support us. Whilst
current transport services are
cut, HACT are doing more by offering community group hires and adding to our regular timetable to prevent Halesworth and the surrounding villages from becoming isolated. The Hoppa 511 is available to all. We still maintain all of this with no government or county council funding. HACT are always willing to
train new bus drivers and bus buddies for the Hoppa. If you require any more information please call in at our office or call on 01986 875900.
