d03 ISSUE 226 / JUNE / 2019 Welcome Welcome to the June issue of Designer Kitchen & Bathroom.

It's fair to say that we’re never short of interesting and innovative products and projects to feature in the magazine. Even so, 2019 has so far been exceptionally rich in great designs for us to get excited about. New launches at Living Kitchen in Cologne at the start of the year – followed by masses of bathroom brilliance at ISH – has meant that sometimes we’ve struggled to fit everything in. In fact, we’re following up last month’s ISH review with more great stuff from the show in this issue.

On top of this, Milan Design Week has further broadened the horizons for anyone working in kitchen and bathroom design. So this month, we pick out a few of the most notable creations on show during Il Salone del Mobile and other events across the global epicentre of design.

There’s lots more to get stuck into this month too. In our exclusive interview with Dr Markus Miele, the appliance brand’s CEO shares some insight into what is by some margin the company’s biggest and boldest new product launch ever, making a real statement of intent across multiple product categories.

We also take the bigger view of the sector, assessing the steps that the industry is taking to move towards a circular economy that preserves and recycles our material resources better than ever before. Find out what part you can play by embracing this vital mindset towards a more sustainable future.

Enjoy the issue! martin Social
