Kohler revealed several new products as part of its Experiential Luxury concept, which focuses on the consumer’s need to create experiences in the home using immersive innovations. “Experiential Luxury invites people into a place that seeks to delight all our senses, where meaningful design, technology, colour, pattern and material are inextricable,” said Mark Bickerstaffe, Design Director, Kohler Co. “At its core, it is the combination of experience and expression. Translating this into the home space can take many forms, and Kohler presented various new ideas, including Intelligent Toilets that offer a combination of high-end design and clever technology, digital showering that allows user customisation to the smallest detail, and an emphasis on new colour, material and finish choices. Samsung presented its 24hr Kitchen display in the Brera district of the city as part of Milan’s Fuorisalone. Designed in collaboration with internationally-acclaimed food designer Laila Gohar and US-based design consultancy, 2×4, the 24hr Kitchen shows a single day spread across three connected rooms representing each phase of the day: morning, day and evening. The three phases of day are seamlessly connected with a specially-designed kitchen counter that twists from one room to the next, representing a full 24-hour cycle.
The exhibit featured Samsung’s latest built-in products,
including the Dual Cook Flex oven, Induction cooktop, Twin Cooling Plus refrigerator, and WaterWall dishwasher. “The kitchen has become a core part of millennial homes. It is the hub of their home, where they cook, eat, and connect with friends and families,” said Harry Choi, Senior Vice President of Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “By showcasing the Samsung 24hr Kitchen at Fuorisalone, we hope to strengthen the brand power of our built-in kitchen appliances while continuing to develop product innovations for consumers, whose lifestyles are continually evolving.” Samsung /
