Jersey City Kids Run For Charity


C Kids Run 2019, the fiſth annual Kid’s Run in Jersey


City for children up to 12 years old, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 1, at J. Owen Grundy Park, in Jersey City. Te course runs along the Hudson River, with views of the Manhattan skyline. Te event is held for the benefit of Embrace Kids Foundation to improve the qual-


ity of life for children with cancer, sickle cell and other serious disorders while having fun with our little ones. In addition to the kids run, there will be a wide variety of activities for children of


all ages at Exchange Place. Participants receive a T-shirt, a medal and a certificate. Te fastest runners in each age group will be awarded.

New Language this Summer


earn Language Hoboken will be offering their shorter, six-week


program (compared to the regular 10-week term) this summer. Te 90-minute classes start the week of July 8, including French, Spanish and Italian at multiple levels. Te classes run one-and-a-half hours once a week. Te learning focuses on building


useful conversational skills, meet- ing new people and making friends, rather than following a more gram- mar-based curriculum. Students can learn a new language or brush up on a language they already know. Learn Language Hoboken uses


four modes of communication: lis- tening, reading, writing and speak- ing. At less than $26 an hour, it’s the best deal for language lessons.
