Society was formed to help preserve and protect Baxter County history and the histo- ry of the Ozarks, and to help with genealogy research for those who have roots in the area. Baxter County Juvenile Intake/Probation Office 425-3840 Baxter County Juvenile Ser- vices is the Juvenile Justice agency for Baxter County. This agency processes all cases involving delinquency/ criminal acts and status of- fenses/runaway, truancy, incorrigibility and behavior, and harmful-to-self situa- tions before engaging the court system. Juvenile Offi- cers establish an action plan for the court system utilizing community-based programs. The goal of juvenile justice is
to keep the citizens of our community safe yet hold the juvenile accountable for their actions while engaging ser- vices to help re-adapt the youthful offender to become a productive citizen.
