Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation
Since 1988, the Baxter Re- gional Hospital Foundation (BRHF) has made an unyield- ing commitment to BRMC to provide the funding needed to ensure the best healthcare possible for the communities served by BRMC. BRHF uses community gifts to help BRMC with building or main- taining its facilities and buy- ing new equipment and the latest technology provide healthcare and medical scholarships to area students and support the Community Health Education & Support Houses. In 2017, 128 scholarships
were awarded to area stu- dents pursuing degrees in healthcare related fields. These scholarships are fund- ed through endowments set up by individual donors who wanted to provide for BRMC’s ongoing need for healthcare professionals. These endowments provide a permanent funding source for these scholarships. Each year, the Baxter Re- gional Hospital Foundation hosts “Lend-A-Hand, Touch A Life” which is a campaign to enlist the community’s help to financially support
the Community Health Edu- cation & Support Houses — Mruk Family Education Cen- ter on Aging, Peitz Cancer Support House, Reppell Dia- betes Learning Center and Schliemann Center for Wom- en’s Health Education. These Community Houses were visited over
16,000
times in 2017 and provided education, support and re- sources needed to keep our community healthy. Most of these services are provided free of charge.
