Bud: Again, I have to say mine is a tie be- tween the Allman Brothers, the Beatles and the Band. JD: The Beach Boys

you could have any car you wanted, what would be your dream car? Bud: A 1964 GTO. JD: I’m a big fan of mid-60’s Cadillacs, like a big Cadillac Eldorado.

Last question. What message would you like to give to your many fans? Bud: These days in the music business it is re- ally hard. It’s hard keeping your head above water competing with pop and hip hop and Nashville country. When you’re a rock and roll band, you appreciate each and every fan. People that follow us, we just appreciate their fanship. There’s not even a category on the radio for rock and roll anymore, so to all of our fans out there, we just appreciate you. JD: Listen to the music before you judge any band. Don’t look at the fashion. Don’t look at what the names are. Listen to the music. If you like it, support the band. If you don’t, lis- ten to something else. There’s a lot of music out there. Find something you like. •

Favorite food? Bud: That’s tough, but I guess I’ll have to say fried okra. JD: Something you haven’t had in years! Bud: I had to change my diet, but that’s what it was back when I could eat food. JD: For me it’s a hard question. You can tell from my physique that I don’t skip many meals. I guess I will keep it in the family and say Vietnamese cuisine.

If you could see anybody honored with their own postage stamp, who would it be? Bud: Jimmy Carl Black, the original drummer for the Mothers of Invention. JD: I’m gonna go recent and say Tim Conway.
