was pretty awesome. They used a fascinating way of working in Mr. Spock in and showing Captain Pikes fate – burned and in wheel chair. And speaking of Trek, The Orville wrapped up their second season. The com- edy-drama is truly a tip of the hat to Trek.. . Walking Dead season wrap up. One of the best seasons ever as we met “the whisperers,” led by the completely insane Alpha and her partner in crime, Beta. Witnessing the growth of Judith after a six-year time jump was great as was the apparent transformation of Negan into her protector. Forget the Governor be- heading Hershel. Forget “look at the flowers.” Forget Abraham and Glenn losing their re- spective heads. This season’s “heads on a stick” scene was the most downright shocking and unexpected so far. Thanks Alpha, you crazy bitch.. . The OA. After several years of waiting,

we finally got a second season of The O.A. on Netflix. Prairie manages to jump into an al- ternate reality, with familiar faces all around but very few who remember her. Good stuff. . . I have watched The Blacklist since the very beginning, and I must say, it has gotten better with age. Lots of twists and turns involving Reddington and Lizzy. They keep it interest- ing.. . Still Laugh-In: The Stars Celebrate (Netflix) is an “okay” tribute to a show I loved when I was 12. My take away was that my sense of humor must have been very different back then. I remember thinking it was the funniest thing ever. Classic film clips combined with today’s stars doing it “Laugh In” style was kind of disappointing. The highlight was the clips of the teenaged Goldie Hawn, as cute as a bug! Kind of nice seeing Lily Tomlin, Joanne Worley and Ruth Buzzi reunited. Of course, the show’s impact cannot be denied. Without Laugh In, we may have never had Saturday Night Live,MAD TV, In Living Color or Fridays, and the writers and cast took lots of chances, poking fun at issues that had never before been televised. The series

was groundbreaking, the tribute had the po- tential for greatness, but kind of fell flat.. ., The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (aka: Rolling Stone magazine HOF) induction is available on demand from HBO. The Stevie Nicks portion was cool. Roxy Music too. Am I the only one who feels just a bit older after watching these things? Okay. There’s more. There’s always

more. Drop me an e-mail. What are your fa- vorite shows on TV? By the way, the reason I did not mention Game of Thrones is because I’m the only person on the planet to 0nly see the first episode. I’m sure it’s great, and I see all the reactions online to the way they ended it, but I didn’t have a knight in that jousting match so. . . Until next time, turn off the TV and go for a walk outdoors. There’s plenty of time to gaze into the idiot box later.
