We would urge businesses to engage with the Cyber Essentials scheme, developed by Government and industry. The scheme comprises of a questionnaire that describes the minimum level of cyber security controls that must be in place to secure your business. These questions are about preventing random attacks and would stop most ransomware and opportunistic cyber-attacks. The Scottish Government are assisting businesses significantly by offering up to £1000 to achieve the Cyber Essentials accreditation.
